Carte Blanche scoops gold in top trade awards

24/10/12 Another year, another award! Carte Blanche has continued its amazing record in the annual POPAI awards with yet another trophy for the display cabinet.

The much-coveted awards are given by POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) to recognise excellence in the retail point-of-purchase arena.

Carte Blanche won GOLD in the Sports, Toys and Accessories category for its My Blue Nose Friends dolls’ house FSDU.

From over 300 entries, only 65 were selected for this year’s POPAI awards. Carte Blanche was up against stiff competition in its category, including a Reebok shoe display and an Asda Halloween unit.

Julia Andrews, spokesperson for the Carte Blanche Trade Marketing team, said: “POPAI recognises the hard work, energy and creativity that help to make a shopping experience so engaging. Certainly the brief for this design encompassed all those elements - we needed to engage our target audience of four to eight year olds, which we certainly achieved.”

Julia added:  “I couldn’t be more proud to win this award, as there is so much hard work that goes into the design of POS, both in terms of artwork and structure.  I would like to personally thank Nick Slater and Tom Barnfield for their contribution with the artwork and design.”

Carte Blanche has won six POPAI awards over the last four years, recognising the company’s dedication to creating premium-quality point of sale for its branded products. This year’s awards were presented to Carte Blanche staff during a ceremony attended by over 2,000 guests at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London, on October 23rd.
